About My Approach to Integration
Guiding Principles:
We each have our best healer and guide within. We are all creative, resourceful, intuitive beings with the capacity to hold our whole selves and be in connection with all. I am here to offer a safe space and support for people to connect and listen to their inner guide and wise voice within.
We are not broken or needing to be fixed. We are simply in the process of remembering our true, divine nature, and of becoming aware of and embracing (with love and compassion) the different parts of ourselves - bringing them in, to come back to our whole, soulful Selves. I am here to always remind you of that divine essence that you are, and to reflect the parts that surface, while supporting people in weaving them (back) into the whole.
We have the potential and innate wisdom to cultivate our own practices, rituals, and ceremonies - that make sense for who we are, where we are and where we come from. These support us in marking and remembering what is important and sacred, while cultivating a stronger connection with that Great Divine Mystery. Instead of culturally appropriating, how can we learn from and honor ancestral cultures and traditions and practices, without taking them and thinking that's the only way we can live those values and establish those connections for ourselves? Every one of us has the potential for remembering and (re)connection, within us, and through us. I am here to encourage and support people in designing and cultivating their own practices, rituals, and ceremonies, that apply and resonate deeply with who that unique individual is and the context they come from and live in.
In engaging in these processes of healing, we have the possibility, or rather the responsibility, to commit to sacred reciprocity. Every gift, learning, and healing experienced and received brings an opportunity to ask ourselves how we can share or give back. Also, how can we begin giving before we even receive? In particular, in work with sacred plant medicines, how do we give back to support those cultures, communities, environments, from which they come? In other healing, how do we not only pursue individual healing and benefit, but keep in mind ways that this may spread beyond to the collective - people, plants, animals, mother earth, and beyond. I am here to infuse this sacred principle of reciprocity into all the work that we do. Additionally, a percentage of all profits will go to one of various biocultural conservation organisations or initiatives of your choosing. More information here.
My Approach:
My approach to integration is largely informed by my studies in the space (and from others in it), my personal experiences and integration processes, and by my spiritual path and practices (non-dual tantra, yogic path, self-enquiry meditation, nature-based teachings), which have been critical to the formation of my personal integration practices.
Accordingly, the integration support I share incorporates these different influences and practices I've learned, and work and resonate with:
Compassionate Inquiry (training in progress)
Ontological life coaching
Teachings and practices from (Hridaya) Hatha yoga and the path of the spiritual heart
Teachings and practices from Heart-centered Self-Enquiry meditation
Nature-based teachings and practices
Support and encouragement for people to:
Connect and listen to their own inner guide and wisdom
Create and cultivate their own practices and rituals that make sense for who they are, where they are from, where they are, what resonates for them
*Please note: I am not a clinical psychologist or therapist; my approach is rooted in coaching and spiritual practices, aimed at supporting the understanding of, connection to, and incorporation of what is accessed in the experiences, the resulting shifts you want to make accordingly, and coming more fully into alignment with the innate gifts you have to share with your community and the greater collective. If you are seeking support for integration related to addressing more psychological matters such as trauma, PTSD, and depression, I recommend working with an integration therapist and can point you in the direction of resources for that. If you are working with addiction, I recommend working with someone specialised in that and can direct you as well.
